How to care for your painting?

  • Never submerge in water, take a partially wet towel or washcloth and gently wipe down the painting.
  • Never let anything rest up against the blobs. While it is hardened enough to be shipped, the blobs can’t withstand hard pressure up against it.

My painting arrived damaged, what do I do?

If this did occur, so sorry, it does happen and its painful for both the customer and the artist. According to many insurance websites, 60% of art damage occurs in transit. At the time of writing this, I have shipped out almost 200 paintings to date and 5 have been damaged. Most costs have been recouped with insurance, but there are guidelines to follow for insurance to cover.

  • Always reach out to me immediately with pictures:
    • of the outside of the package,
    • inside of the package,
    • close up pictures of the damage,
    • and a picture of the painting as a whole.
  • I will take pictures of it and the packaging before it ships.
  • NEVER throw out the painting until the results of the claim are determined. One time a customer did throw it out, and they denied the claim. This is so important!
  • I will file a claim with the insurance.
  • You will receive a link or call from them to confirm the damage from your side.
  • You may be refunded immediately from me, or we will await the results of the claim before issuing a refund. It all depends on how the damage occurred.
  • Reach out with any questions not covered here.

Do you do custom orders?

I have done custom orders for years, but in 2024 I decided to take a break. If you are interested, email me from the website and we can chat.

Pricing

Most blob art paintings require lots of expensive materials, time and effort. The price reflects that as such. Price per square inch depends, anywhere from $1 per square inch to $2.50 per square inch. Single layer paintings fall into the lower price and multi-layered is on the higher end.

Weight and Sizes on the product pages

The actual size of the painting is listed in the description area of the product page. If you click on “additional information” and see that the size differs or that the weight seems high for a painting, here is what is happening. In order for the website plugin to properly calculate the package for shipping, I must tweak these settings to get the correct price to show at checkout. For instance, if a painting is 24″x24″, I have to use a 30″x30″ box to ship, so the dimensions in this additional area section reflects the box that it ships in. The weight is also increased because the amount of shipping charged at checkout for those items are too low using the actual weight of the painting. We have adjusted the weight to compensate for those delicate/heavy/large items that require special packaging. I do keep an eye on the shipping cost and what you paid. If you overpaid, I’ll refund you.

Are there any product notifications to be aware of?

Blob Art, dot art, acrylic pour paintings or resin may have imperfections from bubbles and the back of the canvas may have paint stains or cut off resin drips. Please note that the products used have been in place since 2020 and have not been tested as to the longevity of it’s life time.

Can I return my order?

Yes, within 14 days, as long as the product is in the same condition as when it was shipped to you. Buyer pays shipping on the return and the original postage won’t be refunded. There are no returns on sale items.

Do you ship international?

The system is set up for shipping international, but the cost is never accurate so I had to implement flat rates for shipping internationally. I will refund you if you overpay and I will charge you back if not enough was charged (with your permission of course). I don’t make a profit on shipping and will refund if over. Shipping costs may have handling included depending on the type of art you order. Some art needs special packaging. Furst Art Studio is only responsible for paying fees to ship out of the US. Any customs or duty fees are not our responsibility but if we have the option on prepaying those costs on your behalf to get through customs easier, I will.
